Take a camera, Make a video portrait and Participate in our competition!
Montreal-based arts organization Ciné-Asie presents a submission call to both filmmakers and film school students for short videos (5 minutes or less). In the 3rd edition of this competition, Ciné-Asie invites you to explore the unique relationship between Asia and Canada using video as a tool of expression to paint the portrait of your experience!
A jury panel will determine the winners while an additional prize will be decided by audience vote.
*Vidéographe award: provided by Vidéographe. The winner will have his or her film distributed by Vidéographe on the canadian and international festival circuit. The winning film will also be distributed though the vitheque.com internet platform.
*Groupe Intervention Video award (For Asian & Canadian women filmmakers & videographers): 1,000$ in value, provided by Groupe Intervention Video (GIV)

Application Requirements:
Eligible Applicants: Canadian citizens or currently living in Canada (This call is open to all ages and genders)
Theme: Portraits relating to the Asian-Canadian experience
Length: Between 30 seconds and 5 minutes
Shooting Format: video
Required Submission Materials:
Completed and signed Submission Form
Preview Format: DVD
Screening Format: DVD, Mini-DV
